The National Housing Trust (NHT) invites registered civil engineering firms to submit proposals to provide pre-construction consultancy services to facilitate the development of approximately 820 housing solutions on 131.1 hectares (329 acres) of land at the Albion Housing Development, Manchester.
LOCATION
The property is located approximately 4 kilometers (2.49 miles) south-east of the Mandeville town centre, along Manchester Road.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The successful civil engineering firm will be required to:
- Carry-out on-site and off-site reconnaissance and checks before starting designing activities for the development;
- Investigate, plan and design the civil infrastructure for the development;
- Prepare all related design drawings and specifications;
- Obtain all the related design approvals from the relevant agencies and authorities; and
- Prepare the tender and contract documents to facilitate the procurement of the contractor for the works.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Consultants must provide:
- Evidence of tax compliance
- Evidence that the lead civil engineer and the firm are registered with the Professional Engineering Registration Board (PERB)

RETURN OF TENDERS
Proposals must be submitted online on or before Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Proposals will be opened done online via the e-procurement website at https://www.gojep.gov.jm on the same day, immediately following the proposal submission deadline.
N.B.: “The NHT reserves the right not to award a contract to any party with whom it is currently in litigation or with whom it has been previously involved in litigation”.
