Effective September 1, 2024, mortgagors who received their loans directly from the NHT may see an increase in their monthly repayment, due to changes in their peril and/or life insurance premiums.
The NHT has sent personalized statements to mortgagors, via standard mail. However, we urge mortgagors to also view their new monthly payment via the NHT mobile app or here, on our website.
Paying via Salary Deduction
If you pay your mortgage via salary deduction your employer may not be able to make the necessary payroll adjustment in time for your payment in September. To avoid short payment on your loan account, please use any of the following online or in-line locations to pay the difference between the old and new rates:
- any NHT branch office
- online.nht.gov.jm or NHT's mobile app
- TeleScotia or NCB TeleMidas services
- Online or at branches of BNS, Sagicor, JNBS, NCB, CIBC, and Bill Express (Jamaica, USA, UK, and Canada)
