The National Housing Trust, (NHT), wishes to advise its customers that as of January 2021, applications for contributions refund will ONLY be accessible online.

As we continue to prioritise the safety of our staff and customers, we will no longer be accepting applications in-person, at any of our locations.

Customers may apply for their refunds via our website www.nht.gov.jm, and also via our mobile app, ‘NHT Online’, which is available in both the Google Play Store and the App Store.

On Wednesday, July 1, though socially distant, a sense of accomplishment connected some 50 National Housing Trust, NHT contributors who received the keys to their new homes. These 50 new homeowners who represented a total of 200 beneficiaries, shared in a handing over ceremony at the newly developed SilverSun Estate community of St. Catherine.

The NHT introduced the ‘Guaranteed Purchase Programme’ in November 2018. Under this programme, developers conceptualize and execute their development plans, while the NHT absorbs the market risk by purchasing units in the development. This approach seeks to leverage the efficiencies within the private sector in order that units can be delivered at lower costs, within faster timeframes and with the private partner assuming most of the implementation risks.
